Chloe Fineman Is Rumored To Be Dating Casey Thomas Brown
Chloe Fineman is a familiar face in the comedy scene, known for her role as a cast member on Saturday Night Live. When she announced she was marrying her closest friend, Casey Thomas Brown, it stirred up some confusion.
Many took it seriously, assuming Brown was her longtime boyfriend. Their strong bond and time spent together fueled these assumptions, reinforced by how good they looked together. However, there was a slight complication: Brown is gay.
Fineman later clarified in an interview with Vulture that the Instagram live wedding with her closest friend was a playful act, emphasizing that her actual boyfriend was someone else. Despite her efforts to set the record straight, the message didn’t reach everyone.
Chloe Fineman Surprised by the Responses
Indeed, Chloe Fineman was surprised by the number of people, including major media outlets, who took her statements seriously and generated earnest headlines.
“It really surprised me. And we were wearing mullet wigs! He intentionally made the flyer look awful,” she reflected. “And they were like, ‘SNL’s Chloe Fineman Is Getting Married!'”
Fineman mentioned that several journalists reached out to her SNL publicists. Despite the publicists confirming that the wedding was a spoof, these skeptical media outlets opted to run the story anyway. Fineman is undoubtedly a convincing performer.
“I guess they assumed I wanted a funny wedding, which I will probably want when I do get married,” she added.
Fineman found it believable that Brown’s acting skills could have sold the whole charade. After all, he did shed tears during the fake wedding.
The Idea for an Instagram Wedding
She mentioned being inspired to pull off the wedding prank after witnessing a real wedding on Instagram. Feeling cooped up and finding the whole setup absurd, the SNL actress decided to spice things up.
With some quick calls to friends like Drew Droege, Brown, Hannah Pilkes, and Sarah Baker, they managed to put together the entire wedding in under a day.
Her partner, who was quarantined with her, found it all amusing. “He sighed and rolled his eyes. He was relieved that I finally had something to do,” Fineman shared, referring to her real-life partner.
However, she chose not to disclose whether there were any serious wedding plans besides the joke. And, just to clarify, if she did get married, it wouldn’t be broadcasted on Instagram. Nevertheless, the identity of Fineman’s actual partner remains a mystery to most.
