Levine humorously described it as a “busman’s holiday” for him.

Throughout her interviews at the time, Levine consistently referred to Ibbotson as her “other half.” In an interview with the Daily Mail in August 2015, she affectionately labeled the modest apartment they shared as her “home.”

Levine’s romantic gestures toward Ibbotson were also noted. When asked about the most romantic thing she had done, she fondly recounted secretly purchasing an electric piano for him on his 30th birthday. She left the gift at their home as a surprise for him upon his return.
