Locating Instagram drafts for posts, stories, or reels follows a similar process with only slight differences to keep in mind.

Method #1: Finding Instagram Drafts for a Post or Story

Locating Instagram drafts for posts or stories is straightforward, although there’s no visible direct option to access them. Follow these steps to find your drafts:

  1. Open the Instagram app and tap the plus (“+”) button at the bottom.
  2. Choose “Post” to access your gallery.
  3. Look for “Drafts” right beside the “Gallery” option. Tap on it to access your drafts.

Method #2: Finding Instagram Drafts for Reels

If you’ve spent a lot of time perfecting your reel and don’t want to lose your edits, you can easily recover it from the drafts. Here’s how:

  1. Open the Instagram app and tap on your profile picture in the bottom right corner.
  2. Once you’re on your profile, click on the reels icon (the second one from the left).
  3. The “Drafts” folder will appear before all the reels you’ve posted; tap on it.

  9. Tap “Discard” to delete the chosen drafts permanently.
